[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]One of the things I see most entrepreneurs struggling with is their branding. They have no idea who they really are, let alone how to brand their website, offerings and social media.
I see a whole lot of copy-catting.
No offense if you’ve been doing that, it’s okay, we all have to start somewhere. And if we’re real honest, everything kind of starts off because you saw someone else doing something (if you haven’t read Steal Like an Artist, you should…) and it inspired you to do something else.
That’s how this works…but emulation is not the same as replication. Emulation should be the goal. Take the good things and put your spin on it.
If you aren’t quite sure how to do that, I’ve got something just for you.
Brand Yo’self is a totally free little project I put together to help you figure this stuff out.
Just drop your name + email below and I’ll send it out post haste.

So true! There are so many different bloggers out there that it can be hard to really stand out.
I had a friend who had her entire website and facebook page replicated. She had to fight to get the copy cat to take it down. It’s great to be inspired by someone, but find a way to do it that’s unique to you.
So true! I think most everyone begins out with some form of emulation, since it’s just human nature when we are new and starting out to look for examples. But you really step into your own when you can begin adapting your own style and influence!
Yaaas so important to find your own identity!
I agree with you! There should be an individuality! That’s what helps people recall a brand.
I will have to check this out soon. I could always use the help.
Making sure that you stick to your true self and voice is so important. Your audience will definitely thank you and your successes will feel so much better!
Very interested to see your take on this. I feel like everyone is doing the same things on Instagram. There’s only truly a few unique people.
So true that branding is ultimately important to building a business. It’s really hard to know how to do that in the beginning, unless that was one’s particular area of study. Otherwise, there is a lot of trial and error. Great reminder about emulating with your own spin 🙂
