With over 1 billion websites online today, your website needs to pop. without a good website, your business cannot stand out, but without something unique about your website, you’re going to get lost in a sea of others. The bigger corporations may have a bigger budget than you, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t make your website better than theirs!

It can take the simplest additions, from using a QR code generator to advertise a new discount, to a subscription box being the most obvious thing on screen, and you can make a difference to your site. With the four tips below, you can get started on your website being the best thing that people have ever scrolled across.

Who Are You?

One of the first things that your business needs on its website is an indication as to who you are. Your name brand should be loud and proud and without it, it can cost you customers. Branding should be obvious, clear and in the eyes of someone who clicks on your website. They should be in no doubt who you are or what you do in your business. Images, obvious wording and a strong tagline will help.

A Simple Web Address

Some of the best businesses make their web address simple. You don’t need to make it complicated or add your business brand tagline to the address bar. Simply make it your business domain name, and make sure that you buy the rights to it. You don’t need to have “yourname.wordpress.com” as it doesn’t look as professional as it could. Too complicated, and you turn off your customers.

An Excellent Site Map!

You need people to get to what they want quickly on your website to maximize the chance of a sale. If your website is too complicated to use, people are going to spend less time on it. So, let your customers get to your site with ease, and then make it easy for people to navigate around it, too. Add menu buttons and as much clarity as possible so that customers can see your products easily. Too much clutter, and you will confuse your customers and that can put them off. The last thing that you want is for them to go elsewhere.

Obvious Contact Details

So, you’ve got the customers, and they want to buy from you, but they’re not buying. Why? Well, they may have questions that they cannot ask because they cannot find your phone number or chat button. These are buttons that need to be at the top of the web page so that they are easy to find. Keep these to the top of the webpage so that people see them immediately. Then make it stick to the page so that no matter where they scroll, they see how to contact you.

These are all general website ideas, but they will help you to make those sales you want to make and keep your website successful.
